This is the Basics of Pistol Shooting Course taught according to the NRA’s curriculum. This is the perfect class for new gun owners who want to know all there is to know about their new firearm. In this course you learn proper firearms safety and storage. Also pistol parts and functions, types of firearms, you will learn about the different types of ammunition. As well as all the fundamentals of pistol shooting, how to clean and maintain your firearm, and so much more. Afterwards take the skill you learned in class and perform them on the firing range.
You will also have the opportunity to become a member of the NRA yourself and join the millions who take part in the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program

COURSE LENGTH 6-8 HOURS
Student will receive an NRA certificate of completion for this course. Also, students will receive a Marksmanship level. Students who score level 4 Marksmanship will have to opportunity to join NRA to become Instructors.

Course Description
- Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling: Understanding the types and parts of pistols, proper handling techniques, and essential safety rules.
- Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting: Familiarity with different types of ammunition and the fundamentals of aiming, breathing, hold control, and trigger control.
- Shooting Positions and Range Safety: Learning various shooting stances, positions, and the protocols to ensure a safe range environment.
- Cleaning, Storage, and Maintenance: Proper techniques for cleaning, storing, and maintaining your pistol to ensure its longevity and reliability.
- Live Fire Practice and Shooting Qualification: Hands-on practice on the range to apply what you've learned, culminating in a shooting qualification to assess your proficiency.
